An Invitation

Shirin and Jihan

I came across an illustration which i really liked, Peacock skirt by Aubrey Beardsley. I wanted to create something similar to it, but the ladies looked a bit ugly to me. So i thought perhaps i can have my own interpertation of the painting, to re-paint it in a way similar to islamic miniatures.
This is how i came up with one of my favourite illustrations, Shirin and Jihan. Shirin is an armenian princess from the famous story of Khosrow and Shirin, and Jihan is just a name i liked.
